The Scientific Organizing Committee of the 5th Annual Cretan Lifestyle: Mediterranean Tradition & Modern Applications is pleased to announce the above competition and a more than a $1200 discount off registration for the first 20 young professionals and investigators to qualify.

In order to qualify:

1. Young Investigators must be students, trainees or within 5 years of their terminal degree/or last training (e.g. end of post doc/residency/fellowship);
2. Send an abstract (<250 words +/- 1 Table) related to Mediterranean or Healthy Lifestyle on which they are a co-author for consideration by October 15, 2026 to: info@accentpr.com and cc: skales@hsph.harvard.edu;
3. Register for the conference by October 15, 2026 at the Preferred rate of $1550 ($1200 discount from the full price of $2750). Once an abstract is approved, you will receive payment instructions. Please note the Young Investigator Package covers all of the following: Conference Registration Fees; 5 nights at Grecotel Amirandes Resort, all meals and conference excursions.

All participants will be able to present their work in poster format during the conference. A selection committee of Conference Faculty will select the top five submissions prior to November 5, 2026. These top five papers will be awarded an opportunity to further present oral their work to a panel of distinguished Faculty judges. Each podium presentation will be given 5 minutes, followed by brief questions from the faculty. The Faculty judges will select 3 prize winners: Third and Second place will receive Euro 500 and an award certificate; and First place will receive Euro 1000 and an award plaque. All participants will have the opportunity to interact with world-class faculty, attend the entire conference and its associated excursions and activities and receive a certificate of participation.
